The Babe

At the 2011 Fall Equinox Fire Tribe Gathering, for some reason the story of Babe the Blue Ox (of Paul Bunyan fame) popped into my mind. Short version of the story - Paul got a pet ox when they were both young, and every day Paul picked Babe up and hugged him because he loved him so much. Of course, over the years Babe got bigger and bigger - but Paul of course got bigger too - and stronger because he lifted Babe every day! In the circle we took turns sharing the things in our lives which sometimes seem like burdens - but which actually grow us and make us stronger - interspersed with this spontaneous song...
